After travelling and living abroad and putting post secondary education on hold for a few years, Ashley (and her parents) felt it was time to look at attending school and choosing a career path.

It was at this point where Ashley decided last minute to enroll at Conestoga College. Due to the late registration, there were not a lot of choices available, but one available program caught her eye, Business of Insurance. 

After working in the hospitality industry for many years, this seemed like a great choice to start her career path and the thought of being able to work Monday to Friday, 9-5, definitely was a huge influence.  

After receiving her diploma in business of Insurance and finishing a co-op placement with OTIP ( The Ontario Teacher’s Insurance Plan), Ashley moved from the city to join her boyfriend (now husband) in Bruce County.

Ashley started working in the Southampton branch at Miller Insurance, where she received her RIBO license and obtained her CIP and CAIB designation. Ashley has since moved to the Teeswater branch and is an account manager working towards her Advanced CIP designation.

 When not working you can find Ashley roller skating with the Grey Bruce Roller Derby, Highland Dames or with her husband, two boys and fur baby exploring Bruce County while, walking, biking, swimming, skiing and foraging our extraordinary area.
